Ahmed Mater gives a tour of his studio in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and shares a special preview of his work during quarantine. He is currently amassing an extensive multimedia archive drawn from sources throughout the Middle East to create an alternative history of Saudi Arabia. He and curator Carol Huh discuss the project and the artist’s hope that it will elicit dialogue about the country’s future.
