Description
Introduce your children ages 3–8 to the fascinating world of ceramic repair in this hands-on workshop. Learn about how our conservators repair ceramics at the museum as well as some traditional repair techniques, such as the Japanese practice of kintsugi, or gold lacquer repairs. Children and their caregivers will tour the exhibition Japanese Art from the Collection, practice conservation skills by solving artwork puzzles, and then create kintsugi-inspired artwork to take home.
