Description
Intended only for mature audiences.
This epic adventure stars the great Tatsuya Nakadai as an ex-samurai turned bandit who sets out with his band of outlaws to take on the army of his former master. Directed with gusto by samurai genre master Hideo Gosha (Three Outlaw Samurai, Onimasa), it's rife with sword-fights and brilliantly choreographed action sequences while also telling a classic tale of loyalty and betrayal. Nakadai, as the cunning bandit leader, is at his charismatic best.
(Dir.: Hideo Gosha, Japan, 1978, 163 min., 35mm, Japanese with English subtitles)
