Join us for a panel discussion with trailblazing AANHPI DMV-based content creators as they reflect on how identity and culture influence their digital content creation and messaging to a global network of followers. Learn how they use their platforms to raise awareness around social issues and introduce people to different cultures.  

Featured panelists include Linh Truong, Jade Womack, and Rohini Manickam.  


About Linh Truong: 
Linh Truong is a proud 21-year-old Vietnamese creator from Washington state who is a junior at Georgetown University. She started taking content creation more seriously in 2020 and has recently reached one million subscribers on YouTube! Followers enjoy the creativity, originality, and attention to detail Linh incorporates in her content. From vlogging her daily life and college experiences to showcasing her unique sense of style, Linh’s social platforms have become a hub for Gen Z inspiration. With the growth and popularity Linh has garnered over the last couple of years, she has always found it important to use her voice and platform to share social issues that are pertinent to her and her audience.

About Jade Womack:
Jade Womack (she/her) is a DMV native who works in the government and moonlights an award winning Instagram blog, Clockout DC. Clockout DC was voted the best community blog and best local Instagram in Washington City Paper's 2022 Best of D.C. Currently more than 1 in 20 Washingtonians follow the account which serves as a community first local Things to Do. Jade's work has been featured in Washington Post, Washingtonian, District Fray Magazine, and USA Today. The influencer takes a radical approach of no ads or sponsorships, and tries to share out hidden gems and out of the box experiences with her followers. From hosting a house party to making holiday guides, and connecting the city, Jade’s community is engaged, excited, and loves calling DC home.

About Rohini Manickam:
Rohini Manickam has been sharing her photography on Instagram @rohinimm since 2013 when she was living in Detroit, Michigan. After becoming an IG suggested user in 2014, she has continued to share whatever inspires her on her platform, whether it is DMV and travel photography or beauty and lifestyle content. Rohini is currently a 4th year Molecular and Cell Biology PhD Student and continues to use social media and her DMV creative community as a creative outlet for fun.
