In this work, artist Do-ho Suh explicitly addresses the concept of identity from a transnational and a Korean perspective by creating a visual oscillation between the individual and the larger social collective, represented by his high-school class. Suh is interested in exploring the tension "between the singular and the plural. In the Korean language there is no such distinction."
