This transcription refers to a bronze incense burner made in 58 B.C.E., with its size, weight, maker, and serial number all specifically stated. Some of the thirty-seven characters are clearly written in seal script, but most are rendered in clerical script, which is recognized by the horizontal and slant strokes that end with a heavy downsweep. Together they provide a fine example of the stylistic transition from seal to clerical scripts. -
