  • Description

    Album of master forgeries by Chang Dai-chien (1899-1983) based on the authentic album F1955.21a-n. The forged album consists of:
    Ten leaves of painting and one leaf of calligraphy, all signed as Zhu Da (ca. 1626-ca. 1705).
    Ten leaves of calligraphy, signed as Niu Shihui (17th-early 18th century), who was Zhu Da's younger brother.
    One genuine colophon, undated (but from post-1950) by Chang Dai-chien himself.
    One genuine colophon, dated 1966, by Zhuang Yan (1898-1980), former Associate Director of the Palace Museum, Taiwan, and a close friend of Chang Dai-chien's.
