[2] Helen Dalling Ling operated "The Green Dragon" antiques shop in Shanghai from 1938 to 1950 and a shop under her own name in Singapore from 1951 until her death in 1982.
[3] Helen Dalling Ling left a bequest to her husband, Dr. Tien Gi Ling on May 1982.

- Description
-
Small jar. Broad squat form with thin, slightly raised rim, formed by coiling and smoothing. Trimmed at base. Flat bottom.
Clay: pottery, medium gray on surface, with lighter gray shadow around rim suggesting that the jar was covered by another vessel everted over it during firing or burial. Accretions of earth.
Decoration: The surface consolidated and ornamented by being carefully impressed with tool carved in small-scale cross-hatch pattern. Three triangular wedge-shaped lugs spaced equidistantly around shoulder just above widest diameter of jar.
