Object Details

  • Description

    Long-necked bottle; globular-ovoidal body, tall octagonal neck; projecting eyelet broken. Five clay spur marks on base inside footrim.
    Clay: hard, dense.
    Glaze: lustrous gray-green, with brownish areas; light brown crackle. Glaze wiped off base.
    Decoration: incised in paste under glaze: clouds on neck, overlapping lotus petals at base of neck, cloud-lappets on shoulder around neck, three lotus sprays on body, overlapping lotus petals around base.
