Object Details

  • Description

    Oil bottle: flattened form; dish mouth on small, short neck; low foot; three large clay spur marks on base inside footrim with support material adhering. Lip chipped.
    Clay: porcellanous, light gray.
    Glaze: translucent gray-green celadon, soft lustre; coverage includes foot and base; some skips; two areas of random and probably adventitious crazing. Wear abrasion around body circumference.
    Decoration: white slip painted under the glaze within impressed or incised outlines. Three loose five petal flower heads spaced around shoulder.
