  • Label

    This quick ink sketch shows designs for the decoration of two cylindrical tea bowls with motifs of pine and plum. Both motifs were appropriate for use during the winter months. The sketch was executed in the style of the painter Ogata Ko­rin (1658–1716), whose younger brother was the influential Kyoto potter Ogata Kenzan (1663–1743).
