Two consecutive scenes are depicted in this illustration to the Kavipriya verse inscribed at the top of the page. In the upper scene, a woman awaits her lover while her friend and messenger plucks flowers to adorn the bedchamber. When her lover does not apper, the woman breaks the flower garland and scatters her ornaments in despair and anger. -
