Object Details

  • Description

    Jar of slender ovoid form with cylindrical neck, damaged flared mouth, flat base and four lugs on the shoulder but three of them are in broken condition.
    Clay: underfired stoneware, red, coarse.
    Glaze: none.
    Decoration: one incised ring below four decorative lugs.
    Label: a label, "Em/14.40", written by Gratia Hauge in blue ball pen, is adhered on the base by tape.
