    Earthenware vessel with incised geometric designs and largely black surface, damaged during firing.
  • Label

    This modern vessel imitates aspects of form, decoration, and firing techniques associated with vessels from the Early Period of the Ban Chiang tradition (such as S2004.14). The discoveries and excavations at the Ban Chiang site inspired local potters to produce imitations like this one for the antiquities market.
