    Square bottle of marbleized clay in checkerboard pattern with rope-pattern inlay and flower-and-grass motifs in overglaze enamels of green, red and yellow. With inscribed wooden box.

    Inscription on the inside of the paulownia-wood box lid: Neriage jomon zogan / aka-e soka hoko (Marbleized rope-pattern slip inlay / overglaze enamel grass-and-flower motifs square-sided bottle). The inscription is signed Tatsuzo and sealed in red "Tatsuzo."
