Object Details

  • Description

Squat, round bottomed earthenware vessel. Its wide-mouthed opening is surrounded by a slightly flared rim. There is one handle along the widest part of the shoulder. Slightly lumpy form and roughness on the interior where the rim joins the body of the vessel suggests that the objects was hand-built.
The unglazed, burnished surface is mostly dark gray in color, with some uneveness due to firing, burial environment and wear.
