Object Details

• Description

  Disk with projecting ring around central perforation; irregularly carved and with a wavy edge; mottled glossy brown/tan. (Some calcification; old nicked flaws, polished over; surface adhesion from old label [?].)

  (Jenny F. So, Jade Project Database, entered March 24, 2009) Smaller overall diameter than others in collection; opening remains constant. Disk ground quite thin, edges smooth and rounded (fine polish). Subtly convex interior wall of opening suggests a biconical hole that had been smoothed away. Height range of collar larger than others, so that disk shows a "warped" appearance—stands lopsided. Very faint circular marks on disk/flange.
