Object Details

  • Description

    Wide-mouthed bowl with deep well and floral spray decoration in relief on exterior. Body curves out gently from high trimmed foot and upward to end in straight rim.
    Clay: Porcelain. Fine grains of sand from kiln stacking arrangement embedded in glazed footrim.
    Glaze: Pale blue-green, transparent glaze applied to entire surface of bowl. A few brown markings on the bowl which appear to be bubbles which burst during firing. Some iron splotches on the exterior and interior.
    Decoration: Two molded floral sprays spread out from their centers around the walls of the bowl.
