Object Details

  • Description

Long, flat bodied fish with details shallowly incised on both sides, and a perforation through the snout. There is one long fin along the top of the fish and a pair of short fins on the belly. The body is essentially straight, but a slight curve is introduced at the tail. The lower section of the tail is beveled, while most other edges are rounded. The edge of the upper fin tapers to a blunt ridge, while the lower pair of fins are square cut. The jade is light buff in color, with areas of dark mottling.
