    Page of calligraphy; Persian in black nasta'liq script set against a blue-tinted ground; embellished with rectangular illuminated panels; recto: text, 10 lines; verso: text, An anecdote from Gulistan (The rose garden) by Sa'di, 10 lines.
    Border: The text is set in purple, gold and blue rulings on salmon colored paper with landscape and animal motifs.
