Object Details

  • Description

    Flower-pot, with twelve-lobed sides and festooned rim. Strong basal ring, moulded to correspond with the rim. Five perforations in the base, four of which are stopped with plaster. Numeral jiu (9) and inscription incised on the bottom.
    Clay: porcellanous, sonant.
    Glaze: deep strawberry red on the outside mingled with blue; blue inside; ribs and edges show as olive brown.
