Object Details

  • Description

    Funerary model of a twin-towered gate, in one piece. Broken areas. Hollow tomb tile.
    Clay: Slate-gray earthenware, fine texture.
    Glaze: None.
    Decoration: Impressed low relief (stamped and with some carved and incised details), figures in high relief. Motifs include geometrical forms, t'ao-t'ieh masks, trees, buildings, horsemen. Back has all-over stamped lozenges pattern.
