  • Description

    Jar: inverted pear-shaped; spreading foot; wide mouth.
    Clay: hard, dense, gray.
    Glaze: heavy cream-white slip under thin transparent glaze; earth stains.
    Decoration: carved in white slip, exposing areas of gray biscuit under glaze.
