Object Details

  • Description

    Vase: tall, on high base; flattened-ovoidal body with slightly expanding cylindrical neck. Glazed pottery.
    Clay: soft, dense, reddish.
    Glaze: dark green mottled over with brown; large areas of silvery iridescent disintegration; crackled.
    Decoration: corrugated encircling lines and two rudimentary head-and-ring handles, molded in relief. Cf. F1917.190.
