Object Details

  • Description

    Clay: hard, light gray.
    Glaze: deep cream-color. White slip covering body (beneath glaze) and inside of footrim (without glaze). Irregular ring for stacking wiped into glaze and slip in bottom of bowl. Glaze stained by smoke during firing.
    Decoration: lotus design partly modelled in relief and partly incised.
