Object Details

  • Description

    Ewer, ovoidal closed lotus flower form supporting a smaller flower. Spout restored. Solid flat foot; six spur-marks. Insert cover, not original to piece.
    Clay: hard, light gray, sonant. Porcelaneous.
    Glaze: celadon. Underglaze copper red. White slip under the glaze.
    Decoration: figures modeled in full relief; details painted, incised, and applied, under glaze.
