• Description

  Fragment of a human figure: a part of a face and bust and both hands resting on a stringed instrument; modelled hollow.

  Clay: soft, white.

  Glaze: silicious cream colored, of a greenish cast; now somewhat disintegrated.

  Decoration: painted in brown lustre, over glaze.

According to Curatorial Remark 3 in the F1911.24 object record, in an undated note Charles Lang Freer stated: "These seven specimens [F1911.24, F1911.612-11.617, inclusive] were all found at Rakka and taken direct to Marcopoli at Aleppo and delivered by him to me; they represent forms of humans and animals."
