  Syrian (?), 13th-14th century (?)

  Jar: inverted pear form. Much broken, repaired and restored. Four ears.

  Clay: soft, buff.

  Glaze: cobalt blue, lightly powdered with cream colored areas of incipient disintegration; glassy greenish glaze near the foot.
