• Description

  Wood stand.

  Surface: dull brown and grayish-green patina; traces of gilt.

  Decoration: In low relief and engraved. Inscription.

• Inscriptions

  Translation: "On the 8th day of the 4th month in the 3rd year of K'ai Huang, Sui Dynasty [A.D. 584], Buddhist Lin Kuei-yuan had this image of Kuan-yin made in honor of his Buddhist faith."
