• Description

  Individual serving dish, one of a set of five (F1907.86.1-5) with various designs. (egawari chuzara).

  Clay: red earthenware.

  Glaze: lead glaze, iridescent, crackled.

  Decoration: in areas of white slip with right-angle corner, design of "korin chrysanthemums" in iron brown, blue, and yellow in-glaze pigments. In underside, motif of grasses in iron brown and green in-glaze pigments.
