Object Details

  • Description

    Jar, globular; slight basal ring; six spur marks and attachments of kiln slag. Fire crack in side.
    Clay: hard, dense, sonant.
    Glaze: grayish-green celadon with large areas of discoloration and thin earth deposits.
    Decoration: inlaid in white and black under glaze; three phoenixes with tails curled into circles, alternating with three small peony sprays.
