Object Details

  • Description

    Jar; globular with wide mouth and low foot, unglazed and slightly concave underneath; cracks and restorations at flaring lip.
    Clay: coarse grayish brown stoneware; heavily potted.
    Glaze: creamy brownish gray; unevenly dark crystalline crackle.
    Decoration: grasses and wavy lines in underglaze iron.
