  Set in Paris’s ninth arrondissement, this busy scene includes a restaurant and carry-out stand selling fresh oysters. Nearby was another eatery: the Café de la Rochefoucault, nicknamed “La Roche,” where impressionist artists gathered to eat oysters, a food popular with rich and poor alike.
