Object Details

  • Description

    Unkaku type green-glazed ware. Deep conical shape with low foot.
    Clay: reddish stoneware, medium texture.
    Glaze: glossy, cracked, celadon, oxidized to yellow in some areas, thick.
    Decoration: in white and black slip under glaze, sparsely distributed on interior (chrysanthemum "chains" on walls, square "seal" in bottom) and exterior (cranes and clouds).
