The award-winning Borromeo String Quartet not only brings fresh interpretations of the classical music canon; it also champions works by twentieth- and twenty-first-century composers. The ensemble has been hailed for its “edge-of-the-seat performances” by the Boston Globe, which also called it “simply the best.”
This performance is the East Coast premiere of Mehmet Sanlıkol's The Demons and Humans of Siyah-Kalem, a work we commissioned for the National Museum of Asian Art. The program also features works by Gunther Schuller and Beethoven.
This performance is part of the Bill and Mary Meyer Concert Series.
