    Photographic glass plate negatives taken of architectural monuments in Beijing post Boxer Rebellion (1898-1901). Details regarding the attributed photographer, Philip Miles, are yet to be confirmed. He was an amateur photographer, perhaps part of the American or British troops sent in response to the uprising.
