This Collection contains hand-tinted postcards of Japan created during the Taisho Period (1912-1926). Subjects include daily life, scenes, and an image of the Taisho Emperor on horseback. About 10 of the cards contain images of schools, Anglican churches and other activities relating to Christian activities, making it likely that these low-quality cards were produced for a missionary organization.
