Over 600 illustrations of Japanese prints, with the artists' names, subjects, date of sale, name of collection, etc., noted on the reverse of each illustration. Arranged and mounted in four boxes. -
Biographical / Historical
Edward Fairbrother Strange (1862-1929), an assistant keeper at the Victoria and Albert Museum and a member of the Japan Society, was the author of several books on Japanese illustration, including "The Colour-Prints of Japan" and "Japanese Illustration". -
