Object Details

  • Description

    Bowl with rounded sides, upright rim and carved footring.
    Clay: grey stoneware.
    Glaze: greyish green, glossy, transparent; base unglazed.
    Decoration: freely incised curving lines on the cavetto, an incised ring on the interior bottom.

    Acquired while Mr. and Mrs. Osborne and Gratia Hauge were living in Bangkok (1967-1972 or 1973) or Saigon (1972/73 to 1975). The major sources were dealers in Bangkok and Saigon.
    [2] Ownership of collected objects sometimes changed between the Hauge families.
