Detached folio from a dispersed copy of the Qur'an; recto: Sura al-Tawba (the Repentance) 9: part of verse 37 and verses 38-45, recto begins with "-kafaru"; verso: sura 9:45-55 and part of 56, verso begins with "qulubuhum"; Arabic in black "eastern kufic (New Style)” script with gold circular verse markers, illuminated marginal medallions and palmettes; vowels in red, sukun in blue and diacritics in black; one column; 23 lines of text. -
