Detached folio from a dispersed copy of the Qur'an; recto: Sura al-Naz'iat (Those who tear out) 79: part of 42, 43-46, Sura Abasa (He frowned) 80: 1-6 and part of 7, recto begins with "mursayha"; verso: sura 80: 7-26, and part of 27, verso begins with "'allayazzakka"; Arabic in black naskh script with gold heading in white thuluth; gold-large marginal medallions containing the word "ashr" (ten) indicating the end of a tenth verse and the word "khams" (five) indicating the end of a fifth verse; illuminated rosette verse markers; vocalized in black, sukun in red, late addition letters for recitation in red; interlinear Persian translation in red nasta'liq; illuminated heading; one column, nine lines of text.
