- Description
-
Large glazed earthenware bowl, with polychrome glazes, predominantly green, yellow and purple over a light white-yellow/green slip. Almost flat ring foot. The interior of the bowl is crosshatched into large squares, much like a checkerboard. Alternating squares are decorated yellow-green or swirled purple. Incised lines and "corkscrew" circles outline and decorate the squares.
