Object Details

  • Description

    This vessel flares up from the bottom of the bowl to a sharp carination at which point the walls become vertical, ending in a thin simple rim. The vessel has a narrow but relatively high ring foot. The background of the bowl is white. The inside of the bowl is decorated with a four-fold stylized floral pattern with a band of white-on-black calligraphy at the carination. The inside of the bowl has a band of white-on-black calligraphy. The lower outside areas of the bowl are decorated with a stylized plant motif. The ring foot is undecorated.
