Small, black-burnished earthenware jug in the shape of a howling beast. The body is squat, or "askos-shaped," and completely closed except for one end which tapers up to an almost tubular mouth/spout. The oval/oblong opening of the mouth has two holes pierced above (indicating eyes?), and giving the appearance of a howling animal. Flat base, burnished earthenware.
