    Detached folio from an unidentified manuscript; text: Persian in black nasta'liq script; obverse: illustration and text: Pasha receives Mir Abd-Ali; reverse: text: The famous commander receives Osman Mohammad Qazi with kindness, illuminated heading, 4 columns, 7 lines.
    Border: The text and the painting are set in gold rulings on cream-colored paper.
  • Inscriptions

    Obverse, "Among the sons of noble Ulyan one was named Mir Abdul-Ali, a noble youth of intelligence and of a powerful aura, courageous, well-spoken and virtuous. The nobles received him lined up on both sides, and they escorted him to Pasha and honored him greatly."
