Object Details

  • Description

    Bowl, deep; incurvate rim, flat foot. Three spur marks inside; kiln slag outside. Two spur marks on base, third mark hidden.
    Clay: dense, buff.
    Glaze: rich luminous blue, varying from grayish lavender-blue to dark blue; green glaze underneath, partially wiped off base.
    Decoration: modelled in low relief, under glaze. Probably molded separately and sprigged on. Shou characters and plum blossoms.
