Object Details

  • Description

    Tea caddy; ovoidal, horizontal corrugation; ivory cover. Flat string-cut base.
    Clay: medium texture; buff color, darkened where exposed.
    Glaze: Cream yellow splashed with brownish yellow areas. Irregular crackle, stained in places. Interior glazed.
    seal impressed on foot, reading "Utatsu."
