Experimental printmaking techniques are at the forefront in this abstract composition by Shinagawa Takumi. His interests in color and movement are apparent here. Layers of colors and textures have been built up using blocks made from different materials, with angular pieces of wood seemingly floating over them. Shinagawa constantly innovated and expanded his artistic practice, which included photograms, sculptures, and mobiles.
