This is an embroidered toran with 9 pointed pendants. The frieze is done in dense darning stitches and discs of mirror glass and is probably embroidered by a mahajan and assembled by a tailor who added the pendants. It was made by and for the use of the mahajans, a trader caste, in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat.
