This sample book is believed to have been made by the Miura Brothers in 1916-1917 to record which fabrics were selected by Charles Lang Freer to remount his paintings. There are also some later notations probably by Mr. Kinoshita. Since many of the paintings have been remounted since then, this is the only record that exists of many of Freer’s mounting choices. -
